What employers ask first.

Does Gabriel Teams replace our health insurance?+
It can be deployed two ways. The ideal setup is a full Gabriel-designed stack: smarter lower-cost coverage for emergency, catastrophic, and conventional care, plus Gabriel Teams on top for root-cause and preventative care. If the company is not ready to change plans, Teams can also layer onto the coverage it already has.
How is this different from an LSA or wellness stipend?+
A stipend gives employees a card. Gabriel helps build the coverage stack, then gives employees a doctor, a concierge, and a care system over text: finding care, booking, ordering eligible services, checking the underlying plan, and reimbursing approved receipts.
Is each employee guaranteed the full monthly cap?+
No. Teams uses a shared employer pool. The employee cap is the maximum draw available under the plan, but actual reimbursement depends on plan rules and group pool availability. That is different from an individual Gabriel membership with a guaranteed personal cap.
What happens to unused pool money?+
Unused monthly benefit is not paid out as cash. Each month's surplus can reconcile into the team's Care Reserve at full face value, creating a permanent high-ticket fund for larger approved care needs like at-home births, regenerative therapy, biological dentistry, and longevity care. On partnered services, negotiated rates may stretch effective purchasing power up to about 1.2x. Undrawn Reserve credits older than 36 months return to the employer as renewal credit; if the group cancels, the undrawn Reserve balance returns to the employer net of any pre-authorized draws already in flight.
Can employees join individually instead of through the company?+
Yes. Teams is the employer-paid group model, but employees can also enroll voluntarily at individual Gabriel pricing. Standalone individual pricing starts at $279/mo, with lower pricing available when bundled with a Gabriel-managed ACA plan.
How much work is this for HR?+
Very little. The employer sends a census file, pays one monthly group invoice, and manages adds/drops with payroll. Employees text Gabriel directly for care questions, booking, receipts, and reimbursement support.
What is the minimum group size?+
Teams pricing is built for groups of roughly 25 or more enrolled lives. Smaller teams are usually routed to individual Gabriel Care memberships until they are large enough for the shared-pool model.
What can employees use it for?+
Eligible categories include root-cause primary care launching soon, advanced diagnostics, functional and integrative doctors, supplements, recovery, hormones, women's health, men's health, peptides and longevity where legal, metabolic care, and care navigation.
What does the employer see?+
Employers can see operational and aggregate reporting: launch status, participation, utilization, pool burn-down, billing, and account health. Individual health details stay private unless legally permitted and properly authorized.
